Greifswald FC v krizovém režimu: Změna trenéra šokuje tým!
In Greifswald, the local football club has again made headlines. On Thursday, October 10th, the Greifswald FC prepared for his upcoming cup game against FC Anker Wismar in bad weather. The modest training in pouring rain reflected the current tense mood in the team.
The last week was anything but easy for the club. The team forced the surprising dismissal of coach Lars Fuchs and his assistant René Lange into a new phase. Athletic coach Daniel Rellmann and goalkeeper coach Stefan Person took over the management of the training. Captain Niklas Brandt gave an insight into the position of the team in an interview with the Ostsee newspaper.
Brandt said that Fuchs' leave of absence surprised many players. "The week before, he had said that he received confidence until the winter break," said the 32-year-old captain. The reactions in the cabin were steamed; Nobody cheered the decision because the team celebrated a cup victory last season and just missed the chance of the climb.
for Brandt this is a critical situation. Zdůrazňuje, že tým musí převzít odpovědnost, nakonec jste na hřišti sami a nést zátěž výkonu společně. "We were lacking in many fronts this season, and often the trainer is the first to be held accountable for failures," he explains.
Under these circumstances, the team longs for stability. Brandt describes the situation as "unusual" without a head coach. However, he is convinced that the experienced players know what is important to lead the team through this difficult phase. „Už nemůžeme ukázat žádný oheň než dříve,“ říká Brandt.
