Eislauf season in Wismar: Fun and enjoyment on the new ice rink!

Wismar. An exciting comeback for the ice skating fans! The covered ice rink in the old port of Wismar opened its gates on November 1st and the first guests were already flocking. Around 60 children, adolescents and adults were immediately there to try out the 13 by 31 meters of ice rink. The anticipation was noticeable when the first rounds were made!

The sisters Elena (10) and Emilia Stoll (12) as well as their friends Fiona Marie Schulz (12) and Emma Sophie Ehmke (10) were among the first ice skaters. These young talents from Zierow and Wismar had made an appointment for the movable holiday day to have fun together on the ice. "We have been practicing for a year or two," she said proudly. The operator of the ice rink, Gunnar Hampel, was enthusiastic about the great response and announced that his son Tim Luca would put on the ice disco every 14 days!

A social project with the support

Despite a price increase of 50 cents, admission prices with four euros for children, students, trainees and students and six euros for adults are still cheap. The ice skates can be loaned for four euros per couple. "For us it is a social project that supports many regional companies with their gang advertising," said Genia Diehl from Hansekontor Wismar.

The ice rink not only offers ice skating, but also curling for eight euros per person. Ice hockey can be played outside of regular opening hours after consultation, which also enables school sports. An extended snack offer with waffles, crepes and sausages ensures a little refreshment in between, while the ice rink is open every day from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. until February 16 - during the holidays and on weekends even from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
