Christmas in the shoe box: Stralsund celebrates a big pack party!

Stralsund, Deutschland - In Western Pomerania, the exciting collection “Christmas in the shoe box” is in full swing! By November 18, generous donors can hand in their lovingly packed shoe boxes at numerous acceptance points. This international gift campaign reaches children in over 100 countries every year and brings joy to the hearts of the little ones who live in need. The Hanseatic city of Stralsund is already there for the 19th time this year and thus shows its commitment to the good cause.

A highlight of the campaign is the big “pack party” in the Luther Church in Stralsund on November 13th. Here, under the direction of patron Torsten Grundke, toys, hats, paint blocks and many other small treasures are packed in the boxes. A pack party will also be celebrated in Greifswald on November 15th in the Johanneskirche. The anticipation for the presents is noticeable, because this year's motto "Love can be packed" speaks volumes about the intention of this action.

where can you donate?

The collection points are distributed in Stralsund, Barth, Grimmen, Anklam and on the island of Rügen. In Stralsund, the boxes can be handed in at the Grünhufe neighborhood center, at “Media Markt” in the Strelapark and in many other facilities. In Barth and Grimmen, too, there are several acceptance points that are willing to accept the gifts. The list of collection points is long and offers numerous options to participate in this warm action.
