Drama in added time: Siedenbollentin and Schwerin separate 2: 2!
An exciting duel in the football association league ended with a 2-2 draw between SV Siedenbollenin and FC Mecklenburg Schwerin. This result caused mixed feelings on the coaching benches: While Christoph Haker was disappointed by Siedenbollentin about the late goal, Andre Sevecke from Schwerin celebrated the late equalization.
The game was indeed dramatic, especially when substitute Nelson Mandela scored 2-2 in the first minute of stoppage time. The compensation fell after a chaotic long throw that caused confusion in the penalty area. "It was a Kacktor," said Haker's frustration, which was annoyed by the late loss of the three points. Nevertheless, he admitted that the result was fair, because viewed over the entire season, the Schwerin were the more active team.
Möller shines with two goals
The first 45 minutes were very competitive. Schwerin took the lead early when Kanta Seki played a magnificent flank on Christopher Schmandt, who made it 1-0 (19th minute). Siedenbollentin fought back into the game; A foul in his own penalty area led to a penalty that Lukas Möller used for 1-1 (37th).
In the second half, the start for Siedenbollenin was promising: Möller scored the 2-1 in the 48th minute with a header. But then the game was determined in favor of the Schwerin. Often the accuracy in the game structure of the home side was not optimal, as Haker noted. The Siedenböllentians were only able to play out two noteworthy opportunities in the second round, while Schwerin became more and more powerful and gave numerous possibilities until Mandela finally equalized in added time.
"If you get to compensate so late, you are of course very satisfied," said Sevecke. He also thanked the point won, since the Schwerin would have been satisfied with the draw before playing. Currently, the Siedenböllentians take fourth place in the table, three points behind Schwerin, and stay at home unbeaten. "Lost two points is not nice, but the distance is not up to," summed up Haker.
