The Baltic Sea has again gained attractiveness for vacationers. Almost 6.4 million German tourists visited the Baltic Sea this year. It is particularly noteworthy that the Polish port city of Swinünde has recorded a massive increase in visitor numbers in recent months and is now preparing for the challenge of Booming Tourism.

The popular holiday region has developed so much that those responsible for Swinemünde take measures to meet both the needs of tourists and to take into account the concerns of the residents. It is estimated that around three million people will travel to Swinünde next year. In order to meet the climb to holidaymakers, the city is planning various reasons and changes.

One of the most important measures is to build a new pier. This redesigned attraction should enable tourists to experience the Baltic Sea from a new perspective. In addition, a historical spa house that was destroyed in World War II will be rebuilt. Pavel Sujk, the chairman of the Finance Committee, commented on this step with the words: "The aim is to rebuild the Kurhaus in its former form." Both private investments and urban measures are conceivable.

Another big project is the expansion of holiday apartments that are already in full swing. By the end of 2025, new accommodations with around 400 beds are to be built between the Radisson Hotel and the Swine. This expansion is part of a comprehensive strategy to further establish Swinünde as a tourist goal.
