Wismar. A nightmare for the residents! Wild boars have caused a chaos in the street on the Schwanzenbusch, which even puts the best gardeners in the shade. The Kny family's garden looks like a tornado has raged: hills, holes and torn cables from the robotic lawnmower - the devastation is perfect!

Kristian Kny, who discovered the first damage on Sunday morning, initially thought that it was a little joke of nature. But when the wild boars struck again on Monday, the fun was over. "I pulled a wild fence around the property, but the animals seem to be unstoppable," complains Kny. The entire lawn can hardly be recognized, and the fear of the security of his daughter grows. "I no longer let them play outside - the wild boars have even been spotted during the day!"

Four wild boars discovered in the garden

The night brings no rest: "My neighbor, a hunter, has counted four wild boars that weigh between 40 and 60 kilograms," reports Kny. These uninvited guests seem to have settled in an abandoned garden nearby. The neighborhood is in turmoil while the wild boars continue to continue their destruction tour.

The legal hurdles are high: Stadtjäger Ulrich K trader is informed, but cannot help because the damage has occurred on private site. "It should not be shot in residential areas," explains city spokesman Marco Trunk. The residents are frustrated and wonder who arises for the damage. "The insurance waves off and we have to take care of fences ourselves - that is not sustainable!"
