Fight against cancer: Family sells soul flower for Steffi!

Kiel, Deutschland - A dramatic fate takes the Schmidt family! In May 2022, Steffi Schmidt (42) received the devastating diagnosis of breast cancer. After more than two years full of therapies, the family only has a fleeting hope: radio -and therapy. But the approval by the health insurance could be a long time in coming - an unbearable time for the seriously ill mother and her family!

To help her daughter in this difficult time, Kerstin and Joachim Schmidt have found a creative solution: they sell the soul -free "Steffel", a lovingly sewn cuddly toy that is modeled on the favorite animal of her little son Paul. "Paul misses his mom very much when she is in the hospital," explains Kerstin. The emotional burden is enormous and the parents are determined to do everything to collect the urgently needed means for therapy.

The proceeds from the sale of the soul flower flow directly into a donation account that was set up for Steffi. So far, over 7,500 euros have been raised on the "Gofundme" platform, and the sale of the soft toys has already taken around 400 euros. The goal: 10,000 euros to finance the therapy as quickly as possible. "We now have to do something to get the money together," emphasizes Kerstin, who sews the soul more and is happy about the generous support of the Neubrandenburg fabric business "ZIAS".

On Monday, November 18, it will be decided whether Steffi is suitable for radioligand therapy. She is currently in a hospital in Kiel, where the treatment is to take place.
