Neubrandenburg's departure: Photo exhibition shows moving times 1989
In the Neubrandenburg city archive, a fascinating photo exhibition is presented, which impressively documents the spirit of optimism in the four-goal city 35 years ago. Under the recordings of the talented photographer Hans-Jürgen Schulz, there is a unique view of 1989 when water cannons dominated the streets elsewhere in the GDR and made the streets. In Neubrandenburg, on the other hand, the Situation in autumn 1989 remained relatively calm, which reinforces the atmosphere of hope and change.
Schulz, co -founder of the local association from the new forum, captured the special moments of that time with his camera and handed over his impressive collection to the city archive in 1999. The black and white photographs, taken with the technology at the time, are more than just pictures-they are lively contemporary testimonies that capture the feelings and hopes of people in this decisive phase of history.
