Friedland is being planned: huge photovoltaic system in Schwanbeck!
In a pioneering decision, the city council of Friedland (Mecklenburg Seenplatte district) gave the green light on Wednesday evening for the development plan of a gigantic photovoltaic system! The planned facility in the Schwanbeck district will be over 100 hectares and will be used for agriculture. Mayor Frank Nieswandt proudly announced that the decision was made with a clear majority.
The city benefits several times: Friedland will not only receive the trade tax from the company, which will be based there, but also 0.2 cents per kilowatt hour generated. This is a real profit for the municipality! The farm in Schwanbeck is planning to build the so-called Agri-Photovoltaic Park with a battery memory in the coming year. Among the solar panels, the area for feed production remains - an innovative concept that makes Friedland a pioneer in the region!
Financial investments for the future
In addition, the city representatives have passed a supplementary budget that provides for significant investments. Among other things, the city plans to put up to 880,000 euros in the repair of the railway track between Friedland and Neubrandenburg. These measures show that Friedland not only invests in renewable energies, but also strengthens the infrastructure for the future!
