In 2023, buyers only had to pay 100.84 euros on average for a square meter of construction -ready land - a decline of a whopping 9 percent compared to the previous year. This shock message comes directly from the Statistical Office Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, which has covered the numbers for 1,501 purchase cases over impressive 3.3 million square meters of building land. The average purchase value has even fallen by 26 percent and is now only 52.90 euros per square meter!
The regional differences are particularly striking: in the districts of Ludwigslust-Parchim and Mecklenburg Seenplatte there were the cheapest prices for building land. The statistics include all undeveloped land from a size of 100 square meters that are located in the construction areas of the municipalities and are considered building land. There were two thirds of the total area of 2.1 million square meters on other building land that is not used for living or economic purposes. Here an average purchase value of only 28.06 euros per square meter was achieved. The data comes from the expert committees for property values in Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania and clearly show the current trends on the real estate market!
