Torgelower wrestlers shine at the Bodden Cup: Medal flood for the youth!

in Greifswald recently took place the 26th Bodden Cup for young wrestlers up to 14 years, an important event for young athletes from the region. A total of around 100 athletes fought for medals and certificates in different age groups. The SAV Torgelow sent a eleven -member team into the race, which celebrated remarkable success in a strong competition.

The Torgelower Ringer caused a sensation and took third place in the club rating-a good result in view of the strong competition. The host Greifswalder RV emerged as the winner from the tournament, followed by Hac Stralsund. This once again shows the high performance of the wrestling community in this region.

Two gold medals went to the brothers Ast Vatsatur and Arminak Ananikian. Ast Vatsatur was able to shine in the U12 (42 kg), while Arminak in the U10 (50 kg) left the competition behind. These two showed considerable achievements not only in the Bodden Cup, but also in previous competitions and show an impressive form.

The silver medals were fought by Nikita Smolnikov (U12/50 kg), Friedrich Fissler (U10/31 kg), Tristan-Paul Nitschke (U10/46 kg) and Halid Inalkaev (U8/23 kg). These successes testify to the enormous talent and commitment of the young wrestlers. Despite the strong competition, Ramzan Matszugov, who completed his first tournament, also managed to win a bronze medal in the U14 (41 kg).

Another bronze candidate was Bennet Scholz, who also completed in the U10 (42 kg). These results are not only a sign of individual skills, but also for the good youth work in the SAV Torgelow.

At the same time, the older Torgelow athletes also had the opportunity to present themselves. During the "Open Day" in the Torgelow barracks of the Jägerbataillon, they offered a training demonstration that delighted the audience and strengthened interest in the ring sport.

Overall, the success of the Torgelow athletes illustrates the positive development of the struggle in the young area.
