In a spectacular event, an impressive coastal fir that will now decorate the Greifswald Christmas market was felled in a spectacular event this morning. The approximately 30 -year -old tree, a proud 16 meter high and with a weight of around three tons, was felled by hard -working workers at 8 a.m. After the fall, the tree was safely transported to the marketplace with a low loader and a police escort, where the professional fire brigade was already waiting for its work.

The anticipation for the festive season increases! On Monday, November 25th, the Little Greifswald kindergarten children will decorate the tree with great enthusiasm, supported by the fire brigade, which is actively at the side of its aerial ladder. The Christmas market itself will be set up on Thursday, November 21st, and the opening is planned for November 28th at 12 p.m. A highlight that makes the hearts of the visitors beat faster!

This coastal fir, which was planted in the mid -1990s, will be on the marketplace by the beginning of January 2025 and enrich the festive atmosphere of the Christmas market.
