Art for a good cause: benefit auction in Höxter on the 1st Advent!

Under the motto "Bring art to your life", the Forja Lower House (Fan) Forum invites you to the first Advent, December 1st, at 3 p.m. for excitement awaited benefit auction. Art lovers and bargain hunters can look forward to a real festival of creativity if the doors of the forum at Westerbachstrasse 33 are opened. Not only art is auctioned here, but also the chance of getting something unique for yourself or as a gift.

The auction promises to become a highlight with 84 works of art by 40 talented artists from the region. From watercolors to oil paintings to etchings and collagen - the variety is impressive! The cultural manager Hans Hermann Jansen, member of the advisory board of the fan, will lead through the event as an auctioneer. Every euro, which is taken through this auction, flows directly into the forum projects. This benefit auction marks the completion of a successful season for the fan. In 2023, the exhibition "The Power of Facts" attracted around 1,500 visitors from April to October with impressive photographs by Anja Lower House from April to October. The events in the year were also well attended, including lectures, film evenings and the popular series "Jazz Now". The commemoration of Anja Lower House, which was murdered in Afghanistan in 2014, was particularly emotional on the occasion of their tenth anniversary.

The fan that is carried exclusively by volunteers was able to cope with numerous tasks thanks to numerous helping hands. This support is essential to ensure the daily visitor service and the preparation and follow -up of the events. The new board of directors emphasizes the excellent cooperation with various partners who have contributed to the variety of the program. On March 30, 2025, the forum will open again regularly, with the new exhibition "Powerful Moments", which shows the impressive sports photographs by Anja Lower House.
