On November 26th, the highly expected shooting star, which will meet the city center with the seductive fragrance of mulled wine and gingerbread. The preparations are in full swing: the majestic Christmas tree is already on the Schlossplatz, surrounded by festively shining lilies and an impressive Christmas crib.

The opening of the market will take place on Tuesday at 6:00 p.m., with Mayor Gert-Uwe Mende and Mayor Christiane Hinninger, who heralds the festive mood. This year, visitors can expect 102 stands that present a diverse range of Christmas delicacies and handicrafts. "Wiesbaden then shines far beyond the city limits," promises Hinninger. The city has also switched to sustainable lighting, with around 30,000 environmentally friendly LED light bulbs that make the Christmas tree shine.

The city of Wiesbaden relies on environmentally friendly mobility: the use of the ESWE buses is free during the entire pre-Christmas period. There is also a discount campaign for drivers in urban parking garages that only cost five euros a day on weekends. This year the popular mulled wine cups are made of satin glass, blue -colored and show the spa house while the catering stands are relying on reusable dishes.

Another highlight is the largest mobile ice rink in Germany on the bowling green, which will also be opened on November 26th. The city supports the operator with a grant and enables children to use free use during the holidays. The stage program in front of the town hall promises entertainment daily, while the Hessian winter stubb with a heated ferris wheel provides additional attractions. Gifts can be packed free of charge at two packaging stations, and the Thermine offers a "shooting star shuttle" that connects the various Christmas attractions.
