Pure excitement: SV Wiesbaden fought for draw against FC Ederbergland
In the exciting association league duel between SV Wiesbaden and FC Ederbergland, teams separated 3: 3, a result that left both joy and disappointment. "The boys never give up. In the final phase you have to come back like this," announced Yildirim Sari, the sporting director of the SVW, after the game. He emphasized that the spectators contributed to a great association game and the team can thus toast to the positive development. Nevertheless, a certain melancholy swung with the SV Wiesbaden in the first half to leave numerous options to develop a comfortable lead.
The first half was characterized by intensive duels and opportunities, but the gate failed to materialize on both sides. Saki Nakos, who was already the goalkeeper of FC Ederbergland, Nils Schneider, had one of the best options, but a defender saved at the last second. Shortly afterwards, Leon Löber could have come to the end alone in front of the goal, but here too the guest goalkeeper showed his strength and defused the shot what gave the game an exciting turn. Unnecessary goals in the second half prevented a clear victory for SV Wiesbaden.
drama in the second half
With kick -off in the second half, Ederbergland came to two fast goals. Maxim Zich, an experienced player, skillfully took advantage of the opportunity. Despite these setbacks, the SVW coach, Daniel Löbelt, remained calm and went to the alternating bench. These decisions had an effect, especially the use of Almir Podhumljak, who scored the first goal for Wiesbaden in the 83rd minute. Nakos reacted to a precise flank from Ajmir Koochi at lightning speed and equalized in impressive manner to 2: 2.
However, FC Ederbergland immediately reacted with a counterattack to Ninos Yosef's handball, which resulted in a penalty that Janis Wolff safely converted. Nevertheless, the Wiesbadeners were not put off and presented their fighting spirit. The Joker Podhumljak finally got the equalization by promoting a shot into the top of the left up to the top from a short distance. This not only demonstrates the team's mentality, but also the ability to come back in critical moments.
Next Sunday, the next game against SF/BG Marburg is on the plan, in which the Wiesbadeners want to continue to continue their positive trend. Sari and his team are optimistic about the future: "Every point brings us closer to our goal. The spectators have carried us, we are very grateful for that," he said in conclusion. The upcoming game could offer another opportunity to demonstrate the progress of SV Wiesbaden and maybe even secure important points in the fight for the upper table positions.
