Hessen helps: 900 clubs receive millions for energy costs!

Almost 900 clubs in Hesse were happy about urgently needed grants! In the last two heating periods, around 4.6 million euros flowed to the affected institutions in order to cover the enormously increased energy costs. Finance Minister Alexander Lorz (CDU) emphasizes that the stress due to the high prices for many clubs were "sometimes even existential". This financial support is a bright spot in difficult times!

The numbers are impressive: a total of 1,070 applications were granted, and the lion's share of the grants went to sports clubs. Sports Minister Diana Stolz (CDU) reports that 683 sports clubs were supported with more than 2.5 million euros. A record! Currently, the Hessian sports clubs are more strongly than ever before, with over 2.21 million members. These numbers show how important the clubs are for social cohesion.
