Dresden fought for the fourth victory in a row - catch -up in Wiesbaden!
The volleyball players of Dresdner SC celebrated their fourth win in the fourth game of the season in an exciting game against VC Wiesbaden. Despite a difficult start, in which the team of coach Alexander Waibl initially started, they finally managed to win the encounter with 3: 1.
In the first sentence, the hosts dominated in front of 1183 spectators with strong serves and a solid defense. The Dresdeners did not find their way into play at the beginning and made some simple mistakes. In the second set, the experienced team, which has already become a German champion six times, needed a decisive change to get back into play. Larissa Winter came into play for the battered Sarah Straube, while Eva Zatkovic replaced the top scorer Marta Levinska.
an impressive catch -up
The second sentence started extremely unfavorable for the Dresden women, who quickly fell behind with 9:19. But the DSC proved great morality, fought back and was able to ward off five set balls from the Wiesbaden women in a nerve -wracking final phase. Finally they took their only chance and got the sentence with 26:24.
The third and fourth round were similarly competitive, but the DSC women demonstrated nerve strength in the crucial moments. Victoria Demidova converted the first match ball to victory for Dresden in a meeting over 107 minutes. Eva Zatkovic was awarded 17 points as the best player in the game and made a significant contribution to the last success. The victory underlines the strong constitution of the Dresdeners, who are still free of loss in the Bundesliga.
