Alarming study: Extremists combine at Demos in Hesse!
Wiesbaden, Deutschland - alarming revelations from Hessen! The Hessian Protection of the Constitution showed in a explosive study that the propalestinic demonstrations after the devastating Hamas massacre on October 7, 2023, in which over 1,200 people were killed in Israel, have emerged new dangerous alliances of anti-Semites. These findings throw a bright light on the extremist currents that have formed in Hesse in recent months.
The study, which refers to the more than 20 demos per month between October 7, 2023 and January 26, 2024, shows that more than a third of these events have been influenced by extremist ideologies. The State Office for the Protection of the Constitution (LFV) in Wiesbaden has found that followers of secular Palestinian organizations, German and Turkish left -wing extremists and Islamists came together in these protests. The first results of this alarming research will be presented on November 13, 2024 at the autumn discussion of the LFV.
anti -Semitism in a new guise
It is particularly frightening that the extremists in Hesse mostly express their anti -Semitic statements in these demos. They projected their resentment onto the Jewish state of Israel and delegitimized him in a dangerous way. In the first phase of the protests, the Hamas attack was justified as a "legitimate resistance campaign" against a "Zionist occupational regime". With the beginning of the Israeli soil offensive on October 28, 2023, the focus shifted to an alleged "genocide" on the Palestinians, with the slogan "children's murderer Israel" becoming a central message.
Hesse's Interior Minister Roman Poseck (CDU) was concerned about the dramatic increase in anti -Semitic crimes in Hesse, which rose by 224 percent last year to a total of 347 cases. Poseck emphasized that Demos is often called for the destruction of the state of Israel and demanded criminal protection of Israel's right to exist. The international community is under pressure, while Israel reacts to Hamas with massive air strikes and the humanitarian location in the Gaza Strip remains catastrophic.
