Martinifest in Nidda: A festival full of joy and tradition!
Nidda, Deutschland - The Martinifest in Nidda was a radiant success! In clear late autumn weather, visitors flocked to the festively decorated place in front of the administration. The stands opened their gates from 1 p.m., and the little guests stood in long snakes to enjoy the exciting rides at the Happy Hour for just one euro. Whether fire brigade or motorcycle - the choice was difficult!
A pleasure for the senses waited at the numerous stands: from festive candles and candles to hearty grill dishes and refreshing drinks, everything was represented. Michael Counstand's agricultural economy not only caused a tasty beef sausage, but also a small schnapps for the adults and loafers for the children. Sweets such as roasted almonds and gingerbread hearts could not be missing! In particular, the delicacies of Heine Köhlerküsse, which were offered in many seductive variants, attracted the gourmets. The Italian Pinsa, which delighted with Nutella and fruits in sweet variants, was new to offer.
tradition and entertainment
In the community center, a second-hand market of the Inner Wheel Club Bad Orb-Büdingen-Nidda took place, where stylish fashion and household items were offered. The proceeds go to social projects. The children from the Harb facility created a warm mood with their vocal interludes, while the lanterns shone and the anticipation grew to the traditional move. Mayor Thorsten Eberhard welcomed the guests and recalled the customs around Martin's Day. With the "Näirer Fraa" and her geese, embodied by Jana Boschmann, the tradition came alive.
The lantern parade through the city center was another highlight of the festival. The children and adults moved through the streets in a long train of lights while the music corps of the Niddaer Carneval Association fueled the mood. The tension rose when the raffle of the prices began, in which the winners were happy to receive great gifts. On Sunday the festival was even more lively, with a colorful program that ranged from singing the children of the sparrow choir to dance performances. Magician Marcello Bamberger amazed the little guests with his balloon animals and a magical show. A festival full of joy and community!
