In the heart of the Vogelsberg district, the cultural heart beats stronger than ever! Thanks to the generous donations from the OVAG of a total of 3,500 euros, two local clubs are allowed to breathe a sigh of relief. The vocal ensemble "Altenburger Vocalisten" receives 1,500 euros in order to celebrate its 25th anniversary and to further promote choral singing. The Hartershausen small-caliber rifle club, on the other hand, can restore its old club flag with 2,000 euros, which has been in use since 1898!

District Administrator Dr. Jens Mischak handed over the donations with pride and emphasized the importance of this support for the clubs. The vocal ensemble plans a number of events to spread the joy of singing, with the special project "Ways to each other", which was launched in cooperation with the city of Alsfeld. New learning, cultural and integration rooms are to be created here. "A project that is worth supporting with an OVAG donation," said the district administrator.

The club flag of the small-caliber rifle club has had many years under its belt and shows significant signs of wear. "The flag urgently needs to be restored," explains the first chairman Loris Kreutzer. The 2,000 euros from OVAG are an important step towards the 8,000 euros required for complete restoration. Dr. Mischak praised the importance of such flags as the valuable legacy of German history and the determination of the association to preserve this piece of history for the future.
