Nine environmental schools in Vogelsberg: award for sustainable learning!
In the Vogelsberg district there is reason to be happy! Nine schools were awarded the coveted title "Hessian environmental school - learning and acting for our future". This award, awarded by the Hessian Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of the Environment, honors the exceptional commitment of schools in education for sustainable development (BNE). The proud teachers accepted the honor of Patrick Krug, the first district deputy, who underlined the importance of this award.
The environmental schools in Vogelsbergkreis are true pioneers in environmental protection! They show the students how they can actively contribute to preserving nature. Whether in the school garden, at the beekeeping or on the farm - the projects are as diverse as the students' ideas. Krug emphasized that in view of the increasing extreme weather events, every single responsibility had to take on. "Your own behavior has an impact - in a good or bad sense," says Krug. The students learn through the environmental AGs how important their contribution is for a sustainable future.
