Discover nature: New biological in the Vogelsberg district opened!

Homberg (Ohm), Deutschland - An exciting reopening is imminent! On Thursday at 11:00 a.m., the Biologikum Mittelhessen will be launched in the picturesque Vogelsberg district. This innovative participation research center has set itself the goal of sending children and young people on an exciting scientific journey of discovery. Here school classes and students can gain practical experience in the world of biology together with experienced researchers - and that is far from the classic classroom!

The focus of the new facility is burning: environmental pollution, biodiversity and climate change are the focus. Peter Ebke, biology professor and co -founder of the biology, emphasizes the close cooperation with the universities in Gießen and Marburg. "Environmental research is done in the environment," explains EBKE, and that is exactly what is practiced in the biology-the green meadow around the Neu-Ulrichstein research center becomes the laboratory of the future!

interactive research experiences

Visitors can look forward to a unique experience! The biological is initially operated without fixed opening times, but visits are possible after prior appointment. This ensures that each group receives the right care. Teaching students at the University of Marburg will support the young discoverers. And as a scientific director, none other than ZDF moderator Harald Lesch, known from "Terra X", will lead the fortunes of the biological

In Central Hesse there are already similar facilities such as the mathematics in Gießen and the chemical in Marburg. The Hessian Ministry of Education sees a key role in the transfer of knowledge in such participatory training institutions. Her interactive approach draws young people into the fascinating world of science and scientific work - an opportunity that nobody should miss!
