Flag against violence: Willingshausen sets a strong sign!

On Monday, November 25th, a powerful sign of violence against women will be set at 4 p.m.: The flag "free living without violence" will be raised in front of the town hall in Willingshausen-Wasenberg! This impressive action takes place on the occasion of the international day against violence on women and is organized by the Office for Women and Equal Equality of the Schwalm-Eder district as well as other committed organizations such as the women's shelter and the country women. Mayor Luca Fritsch will also take part in this important event.

Under the urgent motto "#Wanndiegewaltnichtlicht - Finally effectively end partnership", the women's rights organization Terre des Femmes will draw attention to the terrifying reality of domestic violence after separations, especially women with children. This topic is more pressing than ever and requires our full attention!

In addition, the worldwide "Orange Your City" campaign is supported in the Schwalm-Eder district, in which selected churches and buildings shine in bright orange in order to show solidarity with those affected. This visual message should not only open the eyes of the public, but also send a strong signal: violence against women must not be tolerated!
