Timetable change in the district of Offenbach: New connections from December 15th!
Offenbach, Deutschland - The timetable change in local public transport (public transport) is just around the corner! On Sunday, December 15, 2024, extensive changes will come into force in the district of Offenbach and in the Hanau region. The roundabout company Offenbach mbH (KVGOF) has published an overview of the most important adjustments and provided a flyer for download. This can be called up on the website of RMV or can be picked up directly in the RMV mobility center in Dietzenbach. The innovations include the S6 line, which now controls the Neu-Isenburg and Dreieich bookshop stops, while the S3 and S4 is partially eliminated. These lines offer strategic connections to central points in Frankfurt, Langen and Darmstadt.
The changes do not only affect S-Bahn lines. There are also significant adjustments in bus traffic. Stroh Bus-Verkehrs GmbH takes over the operation of the line of-85, which guarantees an important connection between several cities. In addition, the line of-87 is extended to Seligenstadt, which increases the driving frequency in the rush hour. Meanwhile, the decision was made on the line of-58 to settle, which is replaced by adapted lines. These structural changes serve to improve the accessibility and punctuality in the entire state, which is emphasized by the KVGOF as a significant progress.
So note: fare adjustments!
As early as January 1, 2025, prices in the Rhein-Main Transport Association (RMV) increase. These include the student ticket and the senior ticket, both of which will cost 379 euros per year in the future. The price increase is a step to compensate for significant operating costs, which have increased significantly since 2020. that the current energy costs are about 50 percent above the level of 2020. The additional yields should flow into the securing of the offer in order to ensure environmentally friendly and flexible mobility.
