Shocking searches: 623 pieces of evidence against sexual abuse!

In a dramatic blow to sexual violence against children, Hessian police carried out a large-scale raid between November 11th and 15th. Investigations aimed at uncovering serious crimes were coordinated in a total of 85 apartments, houses and other premises. The action, which took place under the supervision of the Hesse public prosecutor's office, drew attention to the shocking allegations against 84 defendants dealing with child and youth pornography and sexual abuse of minors.

The investigators seized 627 items specific to the crime, including a variety of storage media. These will now be thoroughly evaluated to find further evidence. The accused, who are between 14 and 74 years old, include 83 men and one woman, but according to the current status of the investigation, they are not in contact with each other. Particularly worrying are the allegations against two defendants suspected of rape and another case of sexual assault.

Searches in several cities

The raids took place in several cities, including Darmstadt, Frankfurt am Main, and Wiesbaden, as well as in numerous districts, including the Main-Kinzig district. In addition to the serious allegations, violations of the Narcotics Act and the Weapons Act were also identified. Dangerous weapons such as butterfly knives and gas pistols as well as a kilogram of amphetamine, ecstasy, LSD and hashish were seized from one of the suspects. In another incident there was resistance against the police, which required the use of a distance electrical impulse device. Investigations are ongoing and police remain committed to tackling these heinous crimes.
