drama in Hanau! On Wednesday evening there was a heated dispute between an e-scooter driver and the driver of a white BMW in Krämerstrasse. The 42-year-old scooter driver, who was apparently under the influence of exhilarating means, got into a dangerous situation when he almost collided with the BMW. What followed was a verbal exchange of blows that ended in an angry kick against the BMW. The damage? A total of 400 euros! The police were quickly on hand and took the e-scooter driver to the office, where a blood sample was taken from him. Now he threatens several criminal complaints, including for property damage and driving under influence.

But that wasn't all that Hanau had to offer! On Wednesday afternoon, the police were informed about a shocking smear: strangers had left 15 swastika and other lettering on the castle wall in the country road. With a black permanent marker, they devastated the historic wall and a traffic sign. The state protection department has taken up the investigation and is looking for witnesses. And as if that weren't enough, the same day was a 21-year-old man victim of a cell phone thief in Großauheim! The perpetrator, about 30 years old and 1.80 meters tall, suddenly hit the young man into the groin area and grabbed his cell phone. But the 21-year-old did not give up and followed the thief over a kilometer! Shortly before he could catch up, the perpetrator threw the cell phone away and escaped. The police ask for information on this incident.
