accessibility and traffic instructions
In order to avoid traffic problems, as they occurred last year, it is advised to use local public transport. Participants who have an event ticket can drive free of charge in the local transport area of the NVV two hours before and two hours after the event. The transport company has increased the capacities on the relevant lines to optimally master the rush of visitors.
Especially for drivers there is important information: There are no parking spaces directly at the mountain park, and depending on the number of visitors, there can be traffic redirects to ensure accessibility for emergency vehicles.
tickets for the mountain park lights can be purchased online or at the box office. A day ticket costs 12 euros online (reduced 8 euros for pupils, students and people with disabilities). Children up to and including 6 years have free admission. The ticket quotas per day are limited to 15,000 people for the safety and avoiding overcrowding.
The venue extends across the entire Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe, including the castle and the imposing Herculean monument. Visitors can look forward to a variety of impressive light art installations and 3D video projections that impressively stage the UNESCO World Heritage Site.
If you travel by bike, you will find a specially furnished parking area that offers space for around 300 wheels. In order to safely navigate through the event, it is recommended to wear solid shoes and bring a flashlight with you, as some paths can be unlit.
The event will continue in a two -year rhythm, which means that visitors have to be patient after this year's edition until the next issue. The mountain park lamps quickly developed to an integral part of the cultural events in Kassel, and it remains exciting which new creative ideas the organizers will implement in the future.
