The committed SPD parliamentary group leader Joana Rudek, who organizes the local festival in St. Ottilien, is surprised by the negative reviews in the field of culture and leisure. "We offer a diverse program for all ages!" Emphasizes, referring to numerous events such as the local festival and the performances of the amateur play group. But the survey results speak a different language: with only 4.78 points, cultural diversity is perceived as inadequate. Where's the appreciation of the community's commitment?

Rudek sees it differently: "With our Caféhaus Schmidt, Netto, Edeka and the new Aunt-Enso shop, we are well looked after!" But the reality in Wickenrode looks bleak - there is hardly any shops apart from a baker. Wolfgang Köster from the Senior Advisory Board still feels comfortable in Helsa, while Holger Wittich, who organizes the Bürgertreff 60 Plus, cannot understand the survey results. "We regularly have between 25 and 40 participants!" He says and highlights the good medical care. But the question remains: How long can the community ignore the resentment of the citizens?
