three years ago, the transformation of the former guest room into the handicraft chamber began, and since then the room has turned into a creative wonderland. "It started with a single white shelf," says the 56-year-old proudly. Today the walls are adorned with shelves that are filled with lovingly designed decorative and gifts. From Christmas men to angels to profit - the variety is overwhelming! "You could almost think that you ended up in Santa Claus in Finland," she enthuses.

The creative passion of the decorative queen

Susanne Schäfer, who works full-time in a drugstore in Kassel, draws her inspiration from the Internet and transforms old materials into artistic decorative objects. "I come down when I tinker," she says. Her passion started with homemade advent wreaths, which quickly became a seller. "I was asked more and more often if I couldn't do more," she recalls. This demand caused her to convert her guest room into the "Little Craft Chamber", and now she would actually need more space!

In their self -service cabinet on the street, customers can acquire small treasures on a basis of trust. "I didn't want people to feel forced to buy something," explains Schäfer. In the run -up to Christmas, business is in full swing and enjoys implementing her creative ideas. "It is always decorated," she says with a smile. After Christmas it will be quieter, but soon the next holidays are just around the corner, and the decoration queen is ready to become creative again!
