Fight against right: Conference in Frankfurt illuminates extremism in Hesse

The increasing presence of the extreme right in Hesse is still intensively illuminated. From October 11th to 13th, 2024 there will be an important conference on the subject of "Extreme Rights in Hesse: Analyzes and Counter Strategies" at the Studierendenhaus of the Bockenheim campus in Frankfurt. This event is organized by several institutions, including the Institute for Social Research, the Kassel Institute for Sustainability and the PRIF- Leibniz Institute for Peace and Conflict Research.

The urgency of this conference is underlined by the terrifying developments in recent years. In the right terror's incidents, such as the tragic events in Kassel, Wächtersbach and Hanau, together with the success of the AfD in the 2023 state elections, have shown that the extreme rights in Hesse have gained weight.
