Hesse in the cyber war: new measures against digital threats!

Cyber ​​security in Hesse remains at a high level of risk. Interior Minister Roman Poseck informed about the susceptibility of municipalities, companies and critical infrastructures for cyber attacks that have increased to Ukraine since Russia's aggressive war. The main threats include ransomware attacks that affect companies in particular, as well as phishing attacks that often target citizens. Last year 21 cyber attacks were reported to Hessian municipalities, most of them were low -threshold attacks.

The Hessen CybercompetenceCenter (Hessen3c), which was founded in the Hessian Ministry of the Interior in 2019, plays a crucial role in combating these threats. It bundles information from police authorities, the State Office for the Protection of the Constitution Hesse and other relevant institutions.
