Refurbishment of the B 429: Nocturnal closures and diversions threaten!

The renovation of federal road 429 between the Lahnfelddreieck and the Wettenberg junction began on August 2, 2024, as Hessen Mobil reported. The work includes the renewal of the lane ceiling and the consolidation of the frost protection layer under the asphalt over a distance of around 4.2 kilometers. Due to the poor condition of the street and the numerous patch score, this renovation is urgently required.

The lanes are currently being renovated in the direction of Wettenberg. The traffic is managed in a 2+0 traffic management during this work, which means that a lane is available per direction. The first construction work should be completed by the beginning of 2025 before the renovation in the opposite direction of Gießen/Wetzlar follows.
