an outcry against violence in the name of honor! On November 27, a conference will take place in the Bonifatiushaus in Fulda with the provocative title "Violence without honor - honor without violence". From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., experts gather to discuss social norms and the protection of victims in an intercultural context. The event promises exciting insights through four specialist lectures and five workshops that deal with the prevention of violence and masculinity concepts.

diverse workshops and lectures

The conference is not only enriched by lectures, but also by interactive workshops that shed light on the complex phenomenon of "violence" from different perspectives. Topics such as the role of family, justification logic of honorary violence and the cooperation between aid institutions, police and medical services are on the agenda. An indispensable space for exchange and new options for action!

But that's not all! Accompanying the conference, there are a number of events that deepen the topic. On November 20, the film "Elaha" will be shown in the Fulda cinema 35, followed by a discussion round. On November 21, the documentary "Lost Honor - The Family of the Sürücü family" will be presented in the Lauterbach Lights' House, with which director Jo Goll will then be available for questions. And on December 2, the psychologist and author Ahmad Mansour in the Fürstensaal of the city palace in Fulda will speak about "against false tolerance and panicism". A program that stimulates thinking and asks to act!
