Use on Christmas Eve: Bus drivers ensure mobility in the region!

On Christmas Eve 2024, the bus drivers of the Rhönenergie traffic operations are again in full commitment. A total of 101 drivers ensure that the population stays mobile and will surely reach their destination, while others enjoy the festival with their families. Dr. Arnt Meyer and Thomas Lang from Rhönenergie thanked the drivers at the bus station at the city palace personally for their privation. "It is a calming feeling for the citizens of our region if you know that the buses are going reliably - even on the holidays," said Meyer. All bus drivers get a small gift for their commitment to their efforts on this special day, on which the last service in the city of Fulda ends at 5:57 p.m. and the first buses drive again on Christmas Day at 6:12 a.m.

regional mobility and intercultural dialogue

Meanwhile, other voices report challenges that affect social interaction. As part of the LIKRAT project, coordinated by Michel Ronen from Aargau, the focus is on prejudices and misunderstandings between different groups. "We can only manage these conflicts in dialogue," emphasizes Ronen. The dialogue is also supported by young intermediaries such as Salvina, who actively work for better understanding in order to warn Orthodox of inappropriate activities in nature. Such initiatives are important to promote a harmonious coexistence and create understanding for each other.

Both topics, the mobility on Christmas Eve by the committed bus drivers of Rhönenergie, and the efforts of intercultural dialogue in Davos, clarify how important it is to master both practical and social challenges. Even if the circumstances are different, it combines the goal of offering people security and support, be it through safe means of transport or through an open exchange to reduce prejudices.
