Green-line supplies free of charge: district council ensures garbage fees!

Bergstraße 24, 89518 Heidenheim an der Brenz, Deutschland - A decision of the district council will now make green waste deliveries in the Heidenheim district more cost-effective. The previously valid fee of 2.50 euros for deliveries of up to 100 kilograms is eliminated, which implements a long -awaited wish of the citizens. This change promises relief for the residents who want to dispose of their garden waste in an environmentally friendly manner.

In the same breath, it became known that the garbage fees remain stable. Dr. Sebastian Meier, head of the Heidenheim district waste management company, presented the business plan for the coming year and planned investments in the district council. An important point in these plans is the acquisition of a new office building at Bergstrasse 24. In the future, this should serve as a location for the waste management company, which is currently still located in Mergelstetten, but its rental agreement expires in 2028.

investments in infrastructure and security

The district has purchased the building as a precaution in order to cover the future office space requirement. Around two million euros for 2025 are planned for the acquisition and further planning and also almost an identical sum for the conversion in the following years. This emphasizes the importance of long -term planning in the area of waste management.

In addition, considerable funds are also invested in the expansion and security measures of the disposal centers. A new disposal center will be completed in Nattheim by 2027; Costs of around 3.5 million euros are planned for this. A planning rate of 165,000 euros is already available next year. These investments are considerable in view of the increasing need for safe and efficient disposal options.

Modernizations are also pending in Mergelstetten: around 600,000 euros flow into the improvement of fire security. In particular, the lithium-ion batteries stored in the problematic collection point are outsourced in a new container to minimize the risk of fire. In addition, the aging fire protection system is to be modernized. This shows the constant need to increase and implement security standards.

A significant part of the budget is also used for the renewal of the fleet, whereby electrically operated forklifts are to be used in the future. These measures promote not only the security, but also the sustainability of the waste management company, DetailsOrtBergstraße 24, 89518 Heidenheim an der Brenz, Deutschland
