Buxtehudes women's handball: fighting spirit against the German champion!

Viverstraße 2, 21614 Buxtehude, Deutschland - Buxtehude. An exciting duel between Buxtehuder SV and Thuringian HC ended on Wednesday with a narrow 26:29 defeat for the North Germans. Despite an impressive performance over 50 minutes, the Buxtehuder women could not conquer the favorites and are now facing another challenge: On Saturday they will meet the German championship team, HB Ludwigsburg.

The BSV players, led by the outstanding Sophie Fasold, who shone with eight parades in the first half, managed to temporarily put the Thuringian HC into trouble. The equalization by Teresa von Prittwitz to 8: 8 was a highlight, but small mistakes and lost duels prevented the longed -for victory. Isa Terneede, who was awarded as a player of the game, said disappointed: "It is a shame that we couldn't do it until the end. We worked hard and soon want to finally bring our fans our first victory."

A hard chunk awaits the BSV women

The championship team from Ludwigsburg in Halle North will be expected next Saturday at 7:30 p.m. This comes with a frustration from her first Bundesliga defeat since March 2021 and will do everything possible to salt the soup to the Buxtehuder women. Coach Dirk Leun is aware of the challenge: "But we have to look at ourselves first and as a team we have to be aware that we are making a development and getting better."

The game is broadcast live at Sportdeutschland.tv and Dyn, and the BSV fans are called to support their team loudly. Tickets are available in all price categories, and Leun hopes for an atmosphere that gives the Buxtehuders the necessary backing: "If we offer our fans struggle and emotions, they will also give us back and support us."
