Coalition crisis in Hamburg-Nord: Volt bursts from four-party alliance!

Borsteler Chaussee, 22337 Hamburg, Deutschland - A political earthquake shakes the Hamburg-Nord district! After ten years of joint rule from the SPD and the Greens, the planned four-man alliance with the Volt faction failed. The coalition negotiations were ended abruptly because there were massive differences in the area of traffic. Volt wanted to expand bike paths, which should go at the expense of parking spaces - a hot iron that caused the conversations to burst!

New coalition plans of the SPD, CDU and FDP

Now the signs are on the upheaval: SPD, CDU and FDP have announced that the three of them are formed. With a narrow majority in the district assembly, they want to reject the district's fortunes. The SPD has already announced the election of Bettina Schomburg as the new district manager for mid -December. This will redeem the previous incumbent Michael Werner-Boelz from the Greens prematurely. Jan David Talleur, co-parliamentary group leader of Volt, has made it clear that Volt continues to support this change.

The Greens do not give up! You have emphasized that you would like to continue the coalition with the SPD - also with volts, if possible. But they insist that as the strongest parliamentary group, they continue to provide the district manager. Werner-Boelz's withdrawal already seems to be in the air, which could continue to mix up the political landscape in the district.
