Bahrenfeld: A7 driveway closed for 2.5 years-diversion ensures chaos!
Bahrenfeld: A7 driveway closed for 2.5 years-diversion ensures chaos!
A dramatic change for drivers in Hamburg! The highly frequented motorway driveway in Bahrenfeld has been closed for a whopping two and a half years since Monday. If you want to go to Hanover now, you have to prepare for an adventurous bypass that looks like a huge slalom course from the air!
The new route leads road users to a narrow one -way street parallel to the A7. After a first curve, you cross the highway over a makeshift bridge and then drive past the UCI cinema. With two further turning processes you finally reach the Othmarschen ascent. Transport coordinator Karina Fischer from Autobahn GmbH Nord is optimistic: "The provisional has been expanded very powerful. We hope that it will be accepted by road users." But be careful! The one -way street is narrow, and at the 40 km/h there too threaten traffic jams through traffic lights.
detour for residents and new challenges
For the residents of Jürgen-Töpfer-Straße, the new traffic routing becomes a real challenge. You have to accept a considerable detour to your underground garages. Cyclists and pedestrians, on the other hand, find width, barrier -free paths. This redirection is necessary because the A7 in Altona receives a noise protection tunnel, which also complicated the traffic situation.
In addition, from December 6th to 8th, there will be a block between the Hamburg -Stellingen and Home Field junctions in order to install new sign bridges. The traffic situation in and around Hamburg remains tense, and drivers have to prepare for traffic jams and construction sites!
