VW managers complain: loss of salary will get legal dispute roll!

Braunschweig, Deutschland - A dramatic legal dispute unfolds at the Braunschweig labor court! Over 100 former Volkswagen executives fight against the drastic salary cuts of the car maker. These former managers who were subject to court in October now want to go to the next instance. Her lawyer, Ulrich Conrady, announced: "We have not yet made any appeals, but will do so for the majority of the plaintiffs." The deadline for the appeals runs until December 6th, and the first judgments were only delivered on Wednesday.

On October 15, the court rejected the first 23 complaints from the former VW managers. In the coming days, three more lawsuits will be decided. The focus of the dispute is a salary increase and a premium of 1,000 euros that VW has deleted its managers. The plaintiffs are mostly in early retirement, but still on the company's salary list. Only one of them is still active at VW. The others have already left the company through so-called time securities that enable earlier retirement when the remuneration is continued.

VW is removing salary increase for managers

As part of a savings program, VW decided in spring to also burden the managers. The expected salary increase of 3.3 percent and the inflation equalization premium of 1,000 euros were deleted. The managers concerned rely on a promise from VW from 2023, which should take over these components of the tariff degree for them. But VW remains hard and rejects the demands. So the fight for salaries continues - and the tension increases!
