CDU fights for scrap cars: punishments are supposed to rise drastically!

Hamburg, Deutschland - Hamburg - an outcry of outrage! Schrott cars block the city's streets and parking spaces, and the Hamburg CDU has enough of it! In a courageous Initiative, the CDU wants to drastically increase the penalties for the illegal parking of devastated and broken vehicles. The goal? To free the streets from these annoying scrap carts and to restore order in the city!

The CDU parliamentary group has submitted an application to the citizens' meeting to double the fines for the parking of scrap cars. Currently, vehicle owners have to pay 100 euros if they remove their car themselves and 300 euros if the city has to intervene. But that should change! In the event of repetition, even penalties of up to 50,000 euros! The city spent almost a million euros between 2019 and 2023 for towing and scraping these vehicles - and all of this at the expense of taxpayers!

The situation is alarming: since the beginning of the year 4,076 scrap cars have been registered in Hamburg by the end of September, with the center of the district at 2,306 vehicles at the top. Only 16 percent of these cars are actually towed! The CDU suspects that used car dealers abuse public space as an illegal storage space and simply repare the cars for requests. A vicious circle that must finally be broken!

The CDU agreed: No more scrap! The drastic increase in the fines is a clear step in the right direction to free the streets of Hamburg from these stain licks and restore the order. The city's citizens can only hope that these measures will be implemented quickly!
