Sonnenstraße 1, 35390 Gießen, Deutschland - The art scene in Gießen shines in new splendor! The Galerie23 celebrated its move to an impressive new domicile and immediately recorded a record visit. At the vernissage of the “Reset” exhibition on Friday evening, not only the artists Paul Wander, Mirka Holsteinová and Katja Schöwel were present, but also numerous art lovers who stormed the new premises. Mayor Frank-Tilo Becher congratulated the gallery by video and praised the restart of the gallery, which was opened in 2001 and now lives in the heart of the city.

After a three -month closure due to unusable premises in Seltersweg, the Galerie23 now has a triple area available, which enables several individual presentations to be shown. "We are very happy to lie directly at the casting can museum and the botanical garden," said Andrea Lührig, who holds the management together with Felix Lachmann. The move was a feat, which was worth it: the new rooms not only offer more space, but also the opportunity to present the works of art in an impressive framework.

The exhibition shows a variety of works of art that captivate visitors. Paul Wander presents dynamic architecture in his “cut outs”, which looks almost alive. Katja Schöwel uses organic materials such as paper and wax, while Lena Kaspersky shows linol cuts with casting motifs. The called Mirka Holsteinová objects are particularly striking, which were made with a special fabric gun and captivate with their unusual shape. "Art was always the entrance gate to participate," emphasized cultural teacher Prof. Vera Moser at the vernissage.

The Galerie23 now has changed opening times: Wednesday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. A visit is worth it, because the future of the gallery lights up brightly and promises exciting art moments!
