After the devastating 1:5 defeat against Darmstadt, the frustration at Haas was clearly noticeable. "We have to examine a lot with the coaching team. The statistics show that we simply give the opponent too many chances," said the coach. The xGa value (expected goals conceded) speaks volumes: 18th place in this statistic is anything but a success!
Defense in focus
In contrast to Haas' debut against Schalke, where the team won 4:3, the offensive against Darmstadt could not keep up. Fürth's interim sports director Stephan Fürstner, 37, emphasizes: "The focus on defense has to be there so that one or two goals are enough to ultimately score three points."
