Fire brigade festival: Team spirit and ambition at the district cup inspires spectators!

On Saturday, the district cup took place as part of a great fire brigade festival, in which fire brigades from all over the region took part. The various disciplines competition was characterized by precision, team spirit and ambition. The participating firefighters impressively showed their skills.

In the evening, celebrations continued in the marquee. In the event of a musical accompaniment and a good mood, the participants reviewed the success of the day.

The highlight of the festival was the parade that took place on Sunday. 24 fire departments with a total of 376 comrades took part in this. A large number of spectators followed the move along the route, which made the popular event a real community experience.

The flower park was particularly festive, where the new TLF-A 4000 tank fire engine was officially blessed. The godmother Manuela Manhardt and Rosi Aquarius expressed happiness and security for future missions. Among the guests of honor were also prominent politicians such as state fire brigade commander Ing. Rudolf Robin, State Councilor Mag.A Sara Schaar, Governor Mag. (FH) Markus Lerch and numerous other local sizes.

The celebrations were musically framed by the Seeboden and the Men's Singing Association Seeboden. Their performances contributed to the festive atmosphere, which put the cohesion of the fire brigade community in the foreground.

In the context of fire brigade festivals and competitions, other important events in Germany are also to be mentioned. The German fire brigade championships took place in the port stadium in Torgau in 2025, where 620 fire brigade athletes could be seen. Three new German records were set there, and guests from the Czech Republic and Austria took part in the competitions, which underlines the internationality of fire brigade sports. Vice President Hermann Schreck of the German Fire Brigade Association emphasized the importance of central venues for future competitions and the professionalization of the training structures in fire brigade.

In 2023 in Windhaag near Freistadt there was also a large fire brigade festival, which was a positive highlight of the year for numerous participants and visitors [^2^]. Such events not only serve to activity, but also promote cohesion and social recognition of fire work.

The events related to the fire brigade experiences are therefore an excellent platform for the exchange and strengthening of the team spirit within the municipalities.
