Color attack against liquid gas summit: air conditioning activists in use!

In the Berlin Hotel Adlon, there was recently a violent protest against an international business conference that deals with the topic of liquefied gas. Climate activists from the "Last generation" group carried out a striking color attack, in which they splashed green color against the glass doors and the sidewalk of the multi -storey building. This campaign took place on Tuesday morning and served as a symbolic measure against what the activists consider as greenwashing in the gas industry. Her motto was: "Stop gas lobby - clean gas is a dirty lie!" Said the activists on the social network X, as Tagesschau.de reported.

The protests did not remain without effects: the police had to intervene several times to keep the approximately 200 demonstrators from filling the hotel. At first there were almost 200 arrests, largely because of the breach of the peace and coercion. According to reports, several police officers were reportedly injured when the activists tried to approach the conference in the Adlon. In addition, some participants had to be taken to the hospital due to hypothermia. A demonstrator was even glued to the rim of a car and had to be transported together with the bike, reports ZDF.de

The conference "World LNG Summit" attracts leading representatives of the international gas industry until Thursday. In the meantime, the group “Last Generation” has continued to announced protests against this event. They complain that fossil gas is as environmentally harmful as other fossil fuels and accuse the organizers of spreading disinformation in order to position themselves as environmentally friendly. Despite the riots in front of the Hotel Adlon, the large protest movement in Germany remains active and mobilizes numerous supporters from various environmental associations.
