Drive into the blue: an unforgettable adventure on Lake Constance!

The VdK Ortsverband Immendingen organized an exciting and uncertain trip on October 9, 2024 for its members and interested guests. The bus was full, while the participants tried to find out a little about the final goal of the journey. The starting point was Donaueschingen, where the trip began.

On the way to the south, the group in Möhringen picked up fresh pretzels. The first important highlight was the impressive view of Lake Constance, which they continued along, they also passed the picturesque monastery church of Birnau. This impressive baroque architecture and the breathtaking lake view made the hearts of the travelers beat faster. But they had chosen a quieter place for their breakfast and finally stopped in Unteruhldingen. There they found a large parking lot at the tourism center with good sanitary facilities. Everyone got a butter pretzel and a piccolo while speculation about the alleged goal of the trip.

Bregenz and the cheese house

Your trip continued along the group along Lake Constance until she finally reached Bregenz, the capital of the Austrian Vorarlberg. The region is known for its traditional landscape maintenance and the three -stage agriculture of the same name, a method in which alpine brewing takes place in three phases.

in Andelsbuch, the actual goal, the participants visited the Bregenzerwald cheese house, where they enjoyed a delicious lunch. After the meal there was a small cheese tasting, followed by a schnapps for digestion. This break was not only tasty, but also educational and entertaining.

But the adventure was not over yet. On the way back, they took a stop in the Schachener Hof in Lindau, where they reviewed the experiences of the day with coffee and homemade cakes. The cozy end of the trip made it clear to everyone how pleasant the day was.

This trip was the last official excursion of the VDK this year. The travel team consisting of Hans-Jürgen and Gisela announces with anticipation that they will offer exciting trips again next year.
