Threat with bomb: dramatic evacuation in the night train!

On Monday evening, serious security incidents at several train stations in Austria and Germany occurred. In a train that was traveling from Innsbruck to Amsterdam, a passenger said during a check that he hid a bomb on the toilet. This reported Rai South Tyrol, citing the Ansa news agency. Due to the threat, around 300 passengers were evacuated and looked after by civil protection, while a special command from the police moved to the position assessment. In addition, the highway and the Brennerstaatsstrasse were temporarily closed to ensure security.

At the same time, the police at the Rosenheim train station received a threat to the night train of the Austrian Federal Railways (ÖBB). According to the BR24, the train was cleared around 10 p.m. and all about 70 passengers had to undergo control. The exact content of the threat remained unclear, since the federal police did not want to comment on request so as not to affect the ongoing investigations. Fortunately, special forces, including an explosive search dog, found nothing suspicious in the train and in the luggage, so that the train could take the speed again about two hours later.

The events led to considerable disturbances in rail traffic, but there was an all -clear shortly after the incident. The trains correspond to the subsequent timetable and the safety of passengers. Such a dramatic situation shows how important fast and effective security measures are in today's world. Such incidents could occur at any time and anywhere, which further illustrates the gap between security and threats.
