Weimar-Schöndorf, Deutschland - In Weimar, an exciting excursion for the tenth graders of the Goethe Home for the combined heat and power plant in Schöndorf was organized! Around 20 pupils immersed in the innovative world of technology thanks to the invitations of Stadtwerke Weimar Stadtversorgungs-GmbH. This opportunity enabled a fascinating view of the production of district heating and the environmentally friendly methods of combined heat and power.

The heat professionals impressively gave the students how efficiently electricity and heat are generated efficiently. The young people not only gained theoretical knowledge, but also learned how important this technology is for the future of energy supply in Weimar. Jutta Reger, the teacher of the Goethe Gymnasium, emphasized the importance of practical experience: "It is so important that learning is not only done in the school building." The Stadtwerke praised the initiative as a successful day, which combined both theory and practice. The aim is not only to promote interest in technical professions, but also to raise awareness of environmental and climate protection. Future -oriented plans for climate -neutral heat supply in Weimar were also presented.
