Speed cameras in the Osterholz district: start speed controls now!

The district of Osterholz carries out mobile speed controls this year to avoid traffic accidents and to reduce the consequences of accidents. Around 600 measurements are carried out in the district annually. These controls take place both on weekdays and weekends, during the day and at night. The Verden/Osterholz police inspection also regularly carries out controls in the district.

In a first message, some locations for speed measurements were announced in January 2025. According to this, the following dates are set: On January 10, 2025, checked in Lilienthal on Worphauser Landstrasse (L153). Further controls are planned for January 13, 2025 in Schwanewede am Damm, January 21, 2025 in Ritterhude on the Niederende (K8) and January 31, 2025 in Grasberg on Speckmannstraße (K10), such as Landkreis-osterholz.de reported.

In addition to the controls in January, speed measurements were also reported in November 2025. These measures should also serve to remember the traffic rules. Control locations include the B74 in Hambergen on November 9, as well as the dam in Schwanewede between Molkereiweg and roundabout Hinnebeck/Meyenburg on November 13th. Further measurements are planned on Lüninghauser Straße between Frankenburg and Worphausen on November 21st and on November 26th on Huxfelder Straße (K25) in Grasberg.
