Rinteln. The Weser, which is created from the rivers Werra and Fulda, flows through rintel and has currently been reached. The level in Rinteln has already reached critical values. From 486 centimeters, the area is flooded below Woolworth/Brückentor, and from 500 centimeters the Weser steps over the shores. Hartler Straße, which is already blocked at 525 centimeters, is particularly affected. The residents are on alert, because the first restrictions are already noticeable. The Parkhaus Pferdemarkt opens its emergency exit towards Brückentor to steer the traffic.

The flood center has informed the population about the rising water levels. Alarm level 1, the small flood, has already been reached and the warnings could tighten quickly. The residents are asked to find out about the current levels and take precautions. The highest water level of the Weser in Rinteln was 738 centimeters in February 1946. The location remains tense, and the authorities are on constant alert to warn the population in good time.
