Eiscafé Baresha: Bremen women find their retreat!
In the heart of Bremen-Gröpelingen, a very special ice cream parlor sits enthroned! "Baresha" has opened its doors exclusively for women - a place where a touch of freedom and community hovers in the air. Hirmete Zumberi, the founder, created this retreat with a lot of passion, not only inviting women to enjoy, but also wants to offer space for conversations and relaxation.
During our visit it becomes clear: Here the women clearly feel comfortable! The atmosphere is jovial, the smile on the faces of women reveals that they appreciate this oasis of calm. There are friendly decorated dishes at the tables, and the smell of freshly brewed coffee fulfills the room. A little boy in an respectful, blond hair is the only male guest who sneaks around between the tables. However, men are not invited to take a seat here - the seating options are strictly reserved for women. A look at the room shows a lovingly designed facility, from colorful plastic flowers to an inviting wall with the motto: "But first coffee".
coffee for women, no men allowed!
The way that Hirmet Zumberi went with "Baresha" is unique. This café not only got involved in traditional coffee culture, but also dares to take a courageous initiative: an ice cream parlor where women have the upper hand. Here you not only enjoy the sweet ice and the aromatic coffee, but also a safe space in which you can develop and exchange ideas with each other. The idea may seem daring, but the reactions are consistently positive. Customer feedback shows that such a room is urgently needed.
in a world that is often shaped by gender discussions, “Baresha” sets a sign. The response to this place of women is overwhelming - an exciting, happy note that is redefined in Bremen!
